A client had a requirement to send metering data from its point of collection, to a telemetry unit located around 750m away.

Running a cable was too expensive, as was conventional point to point telemetry, especially when a large number of sites were involved, as this was a common problem.

We developed PointLink to do the job.

PointLink sends 8 digital, or 6 digital and two 10 bit analog signals from A to B using low power radio.

PointLink is around $300 a terminal, has a range of several km line-of-sight, and has very modest power consumption requirements.

It is suitable for rainfall, water, electricity or other metering requirements.
